The Leeds and Liverpool Canal is the longest canal in Northern England at 127 miles long. It passes through 91 locks with a summit level of 487 feet. At Leeds, it joins onto the Aire and Calder Navigation.

Directions:
From Leeds train station take a right and go under the "Dark Arches". Continue passed the Hilton Hotel until you come to a sandy coloured bridge. Take a right after the bridge and follow the canal along till you reach the lock, which you can cross over.
